Dogwood

I have been so pleased with how the dogwood tree has been blooming this spring. I had meant to blip it earlier, but have tried to space out my flower blips.. I almost waited too long, it is starting to fade. After reading about the dogwood blooms, I've realized it's quite a complicated blossom. The white petals aren't actually the blooms, they are modified leaves. This is the actual bloom, at the very center.

For Earth Day I'm glad I've went the botanical way and blipped a flower... even if it's not quite the flower I thought it was :)
