Spring Sunshine?

Spring sunshine and gentle winds they predicted for today. Fat chance.

It's damp, cold and grey, with an all pervading haar settled on the city. Arthur Seat has disappeared and the population is wrapped up well against the Easter chill.
It's turned into a joyless Good Friday, and now they're saying it's going to be raining tomorrow, just as we are about to travel to Argyll, hoping to bask in the remains of the heatwave.

Regardless of the weather, Glasgow daughter who had a meeting in the Talbot Rice Gallery today, brought Nina through to the Dower House to be entertained.

I astutely involved the help of Edinburgh granddaughter and her Mum for entertainment duties.

Nina's arrival caused much hilarity because we couldn't actually get the buggy straps undone and had to manoeuvre her out by judicious pulling, limb by limb.
A quick phone call and we realised where we had gone wrong.

After a prolonged polishing of the floor by Nina, we went to the museum with all the other hordes of children, and found most of the push button machines to be au dehors de combat. Too many tiny fingers had taken their toll.

Now we've had lunch and I am being excused outside playpark duty on account of my extreme age. They've sallied forth into the mist but I was told to expect them back pretty pronto.

Nevertheless, this interlude allows me a chance to blip. It's good to get things into perspective.
