Joe's Blips

Tulip Splendour

The weather here today is cooking with just a small bit of a breeze to make things comfortable. Mrs. Joesblips has started to show a positive response to the latest antibiotic and my Dad had a stent inserted in a collapsed artery this morning. I have just been speaking to him on the phone and he sounds wrecked. The job should have taken 45 minutes but finished up taking all of 4 hours. The surgeon is quite happy that they have found and repaired the source of the problems so it's a question now of rest and recuperation. By the way, when I told him that I had good wishes for him from all you guys scattered all over the world, he brightened up and was so appreciative. You guys have possibly just contributed to his recovery. Thanks all !!

For today all you get is a tulip I'm afraid. This one was just a bud last night but has flourished in the bright sunshine and bright light of today.

CS5 course again tonight, which will probably put the commenting behind schedule, but I'll catch up eventually.

Finally...another tutorial now appears on my blog (www.tullyphoto.blogspot.com) in response to a request for advice about curing the problems of leaning buildings and suchlike. Users of the latest version of Photoshop have other tools available but to keep it simple enough for all I have stuck to what I hope will be an easily followed set of tricks. This is a brilliant way of getting copies of paintings nice and square too and I have used it for that purpose, enlarging the results to as much as 30"x24" with great success.
