DRAGONS
KANGLA SHAA
In the Anglo-Manipur War 1891, the British destroyed these Kangla Shaas (they called it the Dragons) with canons as a revenge against the beheading of five British officers in front of these Kangla Shaas by the executioner for waging an undeclared war against the palace resulting in the assault and death of many civilians.
Now, these Kangla Shaas have been restored in their original places in the Kangla, the capital and the nucleus of the whole being of a land called Manipur.
