By the Tweed in Peebles
After an early morning walk in the sun along the river at Melrose with no-one about, and only birdsong to accompany us, we reluctantly set off for home with a final dawdle up the road from Melrose to Peebles via Innerleithen and Traquair.
An ice cream and a sit by the Tweed ended our week's jaunt. A final lick and we were on our way, back to the cherry trees in the Meadows which had erupted into an extravaganza of pink blossom, and a patio of plants that needed some watering.
Nice to be home again.
