peace

travel is hard enough...

but the weather has been simply awful... cold, wet, rainy and get this... it snowed! i kid you not - snow flakes - big, wet, falling down from the sky, white snow! what? it's april...

but apparently, spring has not quite sprung here. there has been a huge delay in anything truly green. not much in the way of leaves on the trees bursting forth... no blossoms blooming in colorful array... no bees flitting about... let alone butterflies... nope, it's damp and cold and dreary and gray and overcast... boo! someone clearly forgot to tell chicago it's spring!!

this is madness, i tell you. but it's still a good day.... i'm with my mom and got here safely... yay.
