Fishing

We got up this morning at 4.45am, had a quick breakfast, and drove like mad to get to our jet boat rendezvous at 6am at the Rakaia Gorge.

Ric was waiting for us ("where we're you?"), and we took off up the river in the dark; myself, Dad, Adam and a friend, Uli.

After 2 or 3 stops and 4 hours later we'd fished a few holes and got to the top of the Gorge. No fish sadly, but, spectacular country!

We then fished a few more holes on the way down, and Uli managed to catch a nice little 5 pounder. Adam loved the jet boat and did a great job casting and fishing.

We got back to the base at 1.30pm, somewhat tired ... Another fantastic day and a great way to finish 3 days of fishing.

Not a lot of success, but lots of fun and very relaxing, as Dad looks in this photo ;-)
