Storytime

Ben climbed over a table today to reach his basket full of soft toys and dug out his gruffalo and mouse. (And several hundred other things.) And his chicken mask, which I seem to remember I've blipped before a couple of times.

Anyway of course then he wanted to watch the Gruffalo but it was bedtime so Steve read it to him as a bedtime story instead.

Been a mixed day; I was treated to a respite morning as late last night somebody offered to look after Ben for the morning. Steve took him out as he left for work, dropped him off at Hayleys (she's wonderful!) and I got to have a bath all to myself. Sainsburys actually delivered although I was about to get very cross with them for trying to deliver earlier than their timeslot (I was still in the bath!) and would have been cross if they'd not attempted a redeliver. But redeliver they did and so I got my icepops which I have developed a need for.

Ben arrived home shortly after, and after watching some tv while I tried to eat, was sick, and then did manage to eat some lunch he decided it was sleepytime which I wholeheartedly agreed with so off to bed we went. Only an hour and a half this time unlike yesterday's 3-hour nap. But still, not so bad.

Steve cooked Jool's Pregnant Pasta for tea (one of Jamie's 30 Minute Meals) which I love, and I discovered that I can cope with life if I'm lying down! So I lay on the sofa and had a whole bowl of pasta; bedtime came and went and after Ben was asleep and I was stuck in bed with him I realised I was still hungry so I ordered up a second bowl of pasta which I also ate lying down. I can manage food lying down! Hurrah! Went to sleep feeling good.
