Final Journey!!

Whilst out this morning I called into the 14th Century church of,
St Andrews Wintringham. Which lies to the east of the A64 on
the way to Scarborough.

Tucked away amongst the pews I discovered this Funeral Cart.
it was used to ceremoniously transport you on your final journey,
from you home in the Village to the Cemetery.
Dependant on which end of the Village you lived at, the journey was
either a short or long one, but always a very "Bumpy" one, note
the solid wheels on the cart.
