Doon the swanny.....

.....the Swannay Brewery. More of that in a moment. Our day in Orkney panned out like this:

1) Breakfast in the excellent Avalon Guest House, Kirkwall followed by picking a Tick from my side....nice
2) Some highly interesting tourist stuff to truly ancient (pre-Pyramid) structures.
3) A visit to the genius brewers of delicious Orkney Best...the beer of choice of several blippers in Edinburgh including myself. Rob, Lewis and Harvey made us most welcome and agreed to an impromptu photoshoot. World class beer brewed on the edge of the world. Thanks lads.
4) Blip lunch in a former Herring Shed with Northern and Poppy, my favourite Orcadian blippers. They tell it much better than I can, but it was a genuine pleasure chums.
5) More touristing to ancient stuff which particularly pleased Owen followed by a sunny ferry journey to the mainland
6) A spectacular evening drive home to Drumbeg along the top of the Scottish mainlaind in the bright evening sunshine. We passed two cars in 100 miles. Ambient sundowner tunes on the sterio. Superb.

That was a day for the memory books. Thanks Orkney.
