Fireworks!!

Today is Lantern Festival in China. In the old days, people would make beautiful lanterns and have competitions to see whos was the most beautiful. It is also traditional to eat Yuanxiao (sweet dumplings) on this day.

It also marks the last legal day that Spring Festival fireworks can be used so from about 7:00am this morning they have been going off and they still are at 11:30pm. I went out to capture some pics and this is the best of the bunch that I got. It is a strange one.. but I like it. At least this time, the building is in focus.. I think. I had a few camera problems so came home earlier than I anticipated.
