I was pondering the term "gormless goats" today and thinking how very old-fashioned it sounds; come to think of it, so is the word "ponce", isn't it?

Looking for inspiration in the poncing department I suddenly remembered a character in Willans and Searle's The Compleet Molesworth. fotherington-tomas he say hello clouds hello sky like a true blipper and is surely The Ultimate Ponce. (Although I suspect his mother wouldn't like his neck to be thought of as middle class.)
