study in blue
Today my husband cut down the big limb that broke off our Jack Pine Tree in a wet snowstorm in February. That day was an adventure--we woke up to 8 inches of very heavy, wet snow. The power was out for 14 hours, due to the downed branches. We kept toasty warm, cooked soup for lunch and scrambled eggs for dinner, and heated water to wash our dishes--all on our wood stove!! I felt quite the pioneer.
As we worked outside, I saw again the picture that I want to study. We live "in a forest", according to my nephew. The blue sky thru the trees is most interesting to me. So, today is the first blip of many I plan to do as I explore the blue sky thru the trees.
The trees to the left are ponderosa pines that have been growing in our yard for 37 years. The nearest in the Jack Pine. Hurrah for blue sky!
