Those who came before

So many potential images to blip today ... the incomprable Hovenweep towers or one of a heap from Natural Bridges National Monument. Having seen them before just doesn't prepare you for the magnificence of the natural bridges ... but I've opted not to show a pic of any of these spectacular geological wonders, going instead for some handprints on the canyon wall close to Sipapu Bridge. Those who came before touched this cliff and judged it special enough to mark out ... I think it must be the fact that they are actual ancient handprints that does it but I really feel these have an intimate - and very powerful - connection between people in place.
