Mmmm, sunshine

Oddly, about 2 minutes after this photo was taken we had the most torrential rain shower. That lasted for about 5 minutes and it's been gorgeous again ever since. Weird.

Things achieved today:

New drain fitted from kitchen sink to outside of house after I discovered a leak yesterday. Benches now sealed and 'trimmed'. All bath sealant removed so that the tiling of the wall in the bathroom can start tomorrow. Man, removing sealant is a rubbish job. Never again!

Oh and I also made three rather cool solid beech shelves to fit above our benches. I thought we might put cook books on them and convince house guests that we are competent in the kitchen, even though we are border line rubbish.

Oh and last thing to report. Found the most enormous spider at work today. Was going to macro it (although actually it was big enough that a wide angle may have been more suitable). Unfortunately it scurried off, probably on its way to the gym. It was a beast!
