Pear tree in blossom
When I looked out of the bedroom window this morning the sun was shining and the blossom was out on our pear tree. As the blossom doesn't last long I thought I would 'blip' it and also I was supposed to be out for the day, (later cancelled as was the sunshine!). Although I have another good 'blip' tree this one has to be my favourite especially as I am up close and personal with it in all seasons. A previous blip shows it in the snow. It produces lots of small, hazel, pears. They are fiddly to prepare but I usually make one batch of pear chutney and preserve some. The rest I leave for the birds and the red admirals who love them.
I had a few things to pick up in Northallerton this morning and stayed much longer than I had expected as I couldn't stop my feet taking me into a camera shop. I now have a little information and some choices to make so I intend reading some reviews ont t'web. As the sun has disappeared I think that's the rest of the day taken care of. Also buttons to add to my now finished knitting project!
