Old Peat Banks
never die they just crumble away.
After yesterdays fog today was clear and for Shetland a warm 14.4 degrees. Managed to head for the hills where it was remarkably dry. This old peat bank has crumbled away over the years but provides good conditions for a lot of waders and geese. It will dry up a lot more (hopefully) over the summer.
Again better in large
