Alresford

We went round to my brother's house and he took us down to Alresford to see our sister. We stopped for lunch at the Globe which has a back garden sloping down to the lake and were mightily entertained by the swans. The female was confined to a nest amongst the reeds but the male was cruising up and down by the fence touting for bread scraps until he noticed a potential intruder. He charged towards him, then turned round and took up his guard post with his back to the rival, who just milled about on the other side of the little footbridge looking a bit uncertain. Unfortunately we had to leave before any resolution occurred.

After some more family visiting we later went out for a meal in Farnham - at a restaurant in Lion and Lamb yard, occasionally blipped by Anne Nolan. Pity there was no time for a Farnham blipmeet!
