Montbretia seedpods

With the dubious honour of being forever the 'Weed of the Month', the beautiful montbretia is public enemy number 1 for all bush regenerators.

Primarily spreading by corms, sometimes up to 14 per plant, this little miracle of survival resists normal methods of eradication. The latest recommendation is to patiently dig them up, being sure to get all the corms, replace the soil and then microwave the buggers. Nice!
