Thing 1 & Thing 2

Mexico seems to have a penchant for out-production autos. The Volkswagon Thing (officially the Type 181) hasn't been made since 1983, according to Wikipedia. Of the almost 91,000 Things built from 1969 to 1983 (civilian sales ended in 1980) over one fifth were made in Mexico which might explain why I was able to capture this image of side by side Things in downtown Zihua. My apologies to Dr. Seuss.
