Ideation

Another workshop today, this one on generating ideas for how to hook up our offices from 128 countries in the world and have them participate in an upcoming event on "innovation." The goal: location neutrality (hate these buzzwords), essentially trying to see if we can make them feel as though they are full participants in an event which actually takes place in Washington.

Not an easy proposition to begin with and I was disappointed by the lack of imagination of the participants in that session, which was facilitated by an outfit called "Idea Couture" (sigh... yes). It gave us all an occasion to play silly games (to unleash our inner creative selves...) and spend five hours together -- free lunch, drinks, coffee and cookies included.

The pic is from the conference in our new "green building" which I've featured earlier. Whoever did the interior decoration/architecture must not be familiar with the rather staid organization we are: thank god for that! :)
