From Afar

We are anticipating the Japanese festival coming up this weekend. We hosted a young teenage girl in our home from Japan last year, so my two younger kids are extremely interested. We were thankful to learn that our friend and her family were not harmed in the earthquake nor the aftereffects , but at the same time we are saddened by the reports we hear from her about the great burden she feels for her country. She showered us with gifts when she stayed with us so we are reminded of her and her country often.
