Running Free
Saw these two little beauties on the way to work, there were about ten of them all gathered on a little dirt outcrop in the middle of the field, sadly i didn't have the long lens on the camera so had to 'sneak ' up on them.
Not much of a sneak really, more of a stagger, a sprawl, a sprint across the road, a few tippy toe daisy steps to avoid the puddles and the mud, and then a loud curse as i slipped down a grassy verge, trying to protect the camera from the rain and wind by stuffing it up my polo neck then garroting myself with the camera strap as i completed my undetected approach to my photographic prey....
and off they all went, in all directions whining and screaming in fear, ( a bit like that time the 25 shot firework barrage rolled into our bonfire....but thats a whole different story.)
Just to point out, in case children, impressionable adults, or the Health and Safety Executive are looking in, don't invite grandads to firework parties if it can be at all avoided, they aren't as responsible as you might think, but do have a somewhat surprising turn of pace when needed..
I seem to have drifted off the subject somewhat so i shall bid you all a very good evening,
Night Night
