Egg!

So this was Monday :)

Ben went to preschool this morning, as usual.

He came home with an egg. With goggley eyes on it, and glue covered hands. Goodness knows what he was glueing glitter onto, because there's none on the egg (that I can see), but there was on his hands. It is a mystery. But he is very proud of his Egg, and when Steve got in from work Ben pointed it out: "Egg!" and when Steve asked where he'd made it, he said, "preschool!" which I was quite frankly amazed at because I didn't think he'd learnt that word as it's not somewhere he particularly relishes going.

He's got 4 weeks off now though, not that he realises this, what with Easter holidays and bank holidays. And they are absolutely full as well so he can't go on a different day of the week instead. Ah well, he'll be over 2 and a half by the time he goes back (where has the time gone?!) so maybe he'll settle in quicker next time.

Grandma and Grandad are still here, much to Ben's delight, and we've started telling him that mummy and daddy are going out tomorrow and will be back the next day and Grandma and Grandad are going to be looking after him. And that when he wakes up in the night and we're not there, grandma and grandad will be, and they will give him lots and lots of cuddles and help him go back to sleep again.

We're aiming to leave at something stupid like 6am in the morning, it's a 1.5hr drive to where we're going and registration starts at 8.15 and the first session is at 9 - and we've not packed yet so maybe I ought to do that now before mum and dad go to bed because they're sleeping in the front bedroom where all our clothes and the suitcases are!

See you on.... well, probably thursday. I wonder what my blips will be for the next two days. Whether I won't be able to resist snapping Ben before we go and when we get back, or whether it will be conference blips...
