blue gave cb1 her first canter and her first experience of being chucked off a pony. having been told by cb1 not to watch the lesson, i did see the canter from a hiding place where i could watch and she couldnt see me. i realised that she'd come off but in the spirit of good parenting, i kept hidden so that she'd get back up off the horse and get on again. now that i write that, it sounds callous that i didnt go and check she wasnt hurt. but she did get back on and managed two more canters. go girl.

we also swam and sat at our fab new kitchen table spreading ourselves out across it with lego and newspapers and drawing.

fed boo eggs and bacon while he explained how the person he was supposed to be working with had spent the night in the cells and how his evening was full of burlesque dancers and spilt pillow feathers. never a dull day at the office for him.
