Hello Dolly AKA Billy no mates
Let's call him "Donny" I'm not going to use his real name. Donny is a doll who comes home from school a few times a year with my youngest daughter. Donny comes to visit for two days and you have to do something fun with him and take photos as 'evidence'
I think the aim is to encourage the children to adopt a caring attitude and a sense of responsibility.
Donny arrives with his own school folder, books, 2 sets of clothes including a full school uniform and coat pajamas, shoes, toothbrush and hairbrush.
Evie loves bringing Donny home - but I have to say, my heart sinks when I see him. First time was a novelty, second, slighty less so...and now the third is positively a pain in the backside (for me..not for the girls)
I'm a lone parent, me and my girls do take care of eachother. I do try to instill values of caring, sharing and loving...doing everything for the girls on my own can be tiring and and tonight I have spent an hour picking up after the girls...and after Donny!
Tomorrow morning I will need to make sure that 3 school bags are packed instead of two! Get the three of them dressed, make sure they've done teeth and their bags are packed.
Thanks school - for making the morning just that bit easier for me!
I know it's not Donny's fault. He just wants to be loved, and I don't and I can't.
Blimey, I'm a grumpy cow tonight!
Be a better day tomorrow
(I hope)
