Life Model

Today in our Pocket Sketching Class, we focused on painting People. Yesterday was Landscapes and Still Life and so we moved on to People for the day's topic. Kath, our teacher, modeled and she struck several poses for us to paint. She wore some crazy outfits with wild colors and assumed bizarre poses to challenge our perspectives. This pose was inspired by a real life tourist lady that had spent the day shopping at Sedona. We had 20 minutes to paint this pose followed by a critique of each student's work.

Tomorrow we will have a chance to paint real tourists at a nearby resort.
