Bird of Paradise

Instead of a literal representation of this flower I went for a more abstract look combining the great slanting light on the leaves behind with the strong colors of the flower itself. The filters in Photoshop failed me when I tried to turn this into the painterly version I had in my mind. I think, however, that has more to do with me than the program.
