Sunday Skim-boarders

Playa Principal is host to an amazing group of skim-boarders. They rocket down the water-soaked sand as a wave is coming in and then turn on the face of that wave and ride it back into the beach. It is impressive to see one of them do it, but many times while I watched two and three would charge off at a time and hit the wave almost in unison. I happily shot photos for a good half hour after which we ate dinner by the basketball court, watched the entertainment, and then walked back to our place. These guys were still at it, even though you could barely see the waves in the gathering darkness. I guess that is what it takes to be this good.
