Mother's Day
Although I realise the biggest winners on Mother's day are the card manufacturers, and that the whole commercialised concept began over the pond , I admit to appreciating the cards and presents that have landed on my doormat today. Also the phone call and e-mail with the virtual flower attachment. Clever thinking Son #1!
The internet is a wonderful thing, enabling far flung children to bring you a bouquet of flowers right to your doorstep. Along with the flowers from Oman daughter came an identical card to the one I got the other day from Shipley daughter which said " ******** 's children grew up, left home and she lived happily ever after".
Strange that two daughters have the same taste in hair shirts for their mother!
Beautiful day though it is, we are unable to make up our minds as to what to do, and so we are doing nothing while the day is slipping away unchecked. No doubt we will regret it tomorrow when it's raining.
I see from the Sunday papers, a picture of Joe's face behind the camera that took the first photo for Blipfoto. Apparently he's in talks with Channel 4 about funding.
'Mighty oaks from little acorns grow'.
I'm proud to be part of the expanding Blipfoto family.
