European Eagle Owl

Had a lovely day at the Highland Wildlife Park, Kincraig in the Cairngorm National Park. There were many highlights but watching the animals being fed was a favourite with all of us. This eagle owl enjoyed his chick snack. Amazing to see these great beasts close-up but it is also a little sad to know that they can't just fly off and go where they want to.

Despite an awful forecast the sun came out and the rain stayed away all day. Lovely to spend time with my grandsons, son and daughter-in-law.
