Grammatical Itch...

Ever been reading a book and read a line that just doesn't sit right.

Wingpig loaned me a copy of Iain Banks' Steep Approach to Garbadale. Seven pages in and I came across this wee snippet. Read it and then double taked, hmm, that read weird.

Really kinda odd that something as blatent as this managed to get through a major publishing house's proof readers and grammatical checks.

That said, very interesting read so far.
