Quince

I saw this on my way into town this lunchtime. I love this plant and couldn't resist a close-up of the flowers. I used to have it at home, and although it was not very interesting for most of the year, the flowers in late winter/early spring are a very welcome splash of colour.

My Japanese class tonight was really frustrating. In fact, I almost felt close to tears at one point, which is really stupid, because I feel I am so useless at learning this language. The others in the class are mostly youngsters and I really struggle to keep up - they seem to pick it all up so bloody quickly! I really need to do more between lessons but the week goes so quickly that its Thursday night again before I know where I am. Only one more week then it is Easter, so perhaps I will have a chance to try and consolodate some of the learning in our 4 week break.
