so much fun

We spent most of the day running a few errands to prepare for those two parties in the evening, of which one was an official event at the Gläserne Manufaktur (The Transparent Factory) whereas the 2nd event was a 50s fancy dress birthday party.

The so called Transparent Factory is a huge (mostly) glass building in Dresden where the VW Phaeton is manufactured. You can actually watch most of the steps of the assembly line standing in the foyer. It is pretty impressive and well worth a visit. Unfortunately I wasn't allowed to take photos of the manufacturing area itself.

Once the official part of the event was over we went home to change from proper evening wear (black dress and suit) to jump back 60 years and dress all 50-style :) The party was great, lots of fun people, great music and dancing. It was fantastic to see so many people dressing up in petticoats, leather jackets or nerdy vests and jackets. It really made me miss those old student parties we had at uni in England.
