Supporting a good cause

This is the daffodil badge that James, Mr Daffodil Man, gave me on Friday in return for my donation to the Irish Cancer Society fund-raising day. After Wednesday's news, this simple badge took on even greater significanec than usual, and looked especially poignant this morning as the sun streamed in the window onto my jacket. (Where, incidentally, have all those months gone since we put the clocks back and thought winter time would last for ever? Here we are, and suddenly it's back to summer time again -- and a very nice day for the first day of it.)

Good old Carl's Kino came up trumps this morning with a screening of the fabulously tongue-in-cheek Tremors, after which it was time for the re-run of the Australian Grand Prix (first race of the new season because of the postponement -- cancellation? -- of the Bahrain event). A good start for reigning champion Sebastian Vettel, and how good it was to see Vitaly Petrov on the podium after a fine display and a well-deserved third place finish.

After a pleasant bite to eat (thanks, Carl) there was just time to catch an episode of Ballykissangel before I headed back home. A quiet night ahead. Listening to music right now, and perhaps I'll even manage to find something worth watching on TV later on.

Yesterday, back-blipped.
