SUPER Mooooon!

To me, this sounds like a superhero, but it's actually just a super full moon. Basically, the moon is super big and close to the Earth because of its elliptical orbit. Tonight the moon was actually about 14% bigger than normal! According to NASA, the moon hasn't been this big since 1993 and shouldn't be this big for another 18 years. Super moons are SUPER COOL! :) Unfortunately, super moons are also super hard to take a picture of. Even with a tripod, the picture above was about as good as it got. It's hard to understand how huge and bright the moon was from the picture, but trust me, it was amazing.

Other highlight of the day: Sushi lunch with a friend from high school! YUM.
