er, flower or blossom

Went to the Japanese garden in Lauriston Castle grounds, and the cherry trees are just blossoming. But none of the shots I took of them worked out, so there is this one of a flower (?) on a shrub in the gardens. In the background you should just be able to make out the bridge over the stream. Except the waterfalls weren't working and so it was just a bridge over a couple of stagnant pools.
