Steps

Spent a satisfying hour sweeping my steps and cleaning up outside after the winter.

Over the years i've often ranted against Emily Pankhurst et al, only with my tongue firmly in my cheek, but at times when career choices have been nightmarish or studying has been hell I've jokingly yearned for the days when women only had to keep their step clean.

Now i have my own steps i take a certain pleasure from sweeping them and keeping them clean. In between enjoy the many other freedoms that brave women fought to give us.

I love these weathered old steps and have been sat very happily in the sun on them this last week.
