wild fire

Wind gusts up to 60 mph wreaked havoc today. Roads were closed because of downed trees. Downed trees also started wildfires, which are not usually a problem in VA. I think the news said around 170,000 people were without power. Ours was off for about 12 hours. I was going up to the bookstore to get some tea and read when I saw this. The road was closed, so we had to turn around and take a detour.
