Snip....

It having been gently suggested by nursery that No.2 son was struggling to see through his fringe, Mummy's scissors have been busy. Sort of... well, I pinned him down in the bath .... and it wasn't my finest work!

Worryingly, it is possibly an issue I may soon also have to confront with No.1 son!

No.2 son now has one comical cropped bit of fringe, but ultimately the object (of being able to see) has been achieved. I call that a result :-)

I think other parents worry more about this stuff than I do, and then I get the guilty pangs afterwards. In the park today we met a mum from school and 2 of No.1 son's classmates. The Mum actually said to him, "Oh, are you still wearing your school t-shirt?"

Craziness. He wears a tesco white polo shirt under a school jumper. He finishes nursery school at 12 and as soon as we get home I take the school jumper off him (to stop it getting covered in lunch!) but the polo shirt often remains and today it had an outing to the park with a rather nice Gap zippy hoody thing over the top. Needless to say her son was wearing cool cropped trousers and funky t-shirt. Does that make us slovenly ...... or (surely) just more practical??? Actually don't answer that, the more I think about it, the more I'm scurrying upstairs to develop a post-school trendy wardrobe :-)

Anyway, No.1 son has been better today (despite terrible night that saw me in a sleeping bag on his floor). He even managed school this morning (hence wardrobe issues - above) but he flagged monumentously this afternoon. Fingers crossed for tonight.

That's all for now :-) ........ going upstairs to a grumbling 4 year old..... boo!
