Trees

After one night's sleep at home I had to go down to Peebles for a conference with colleagues. I was pretty tired and probably didn't contribute much, but the view out of the Hydro over the rolling hills was stunning.

I found that I'd been given a bedroom with a lovely view too - the trees were glowing in the evening sunlight. It was only later that I discovered that this was the edge of a vast rookery (can't get away from them!) - if you look closely you can see a few of the inhabitants of the outer and doubtless unfashionable suburbs.
