First collect your mussels....

Today we had big walk today of around 6 miles, paddled across a river twice and scrambled down a cliff face. I exaggerate, it wasn't a cliff more a drop of about 30, feet just so we could collect some mussels for dinner.

We didn't have to go to this particular beach, which is just around the corner from Camusfeana but it was a nice walk and we know there's no grit in the shells.


Our chum Luc insists that you should only eat shellfish when there's a 'r' in the month because during other times they can produce toxins. Who am I to argue? So we'll be eating them for the rest of the winder

After all that work we'll be having , mussels in tomato sauce with pasta, salad and a glass of Sauvignon Blanc for dinner.
