Are you blipping me?

This is one of the four new hens - they are Black Rocks and are the calmest and friendliest hens I have ever had, I would recommend them to anyone.

They are very curious but totally laid back and not bothered by anything, even mad dogs running up and down the fence trying to round them up! Poor Ollie - he's desperate to get in the field with them, and I am desperate to keep him out!

Hens are such characters and if you stand and watch them they are so interesting and entertaining - the way they bustle about and are always scratching, digging and pecking and squabbling with each other. I love the way they make little noises to themselves and have conversations between each other, clucking away and squawking merrily!

And you get lots of lovely eggs!
