Cake Wednesday

Every week in class, someone is given the responsibility of bringing in a cake for "Cake Wednesday". This week it was my turn.

In addition to a batch of raspberry(ish) vegan butterfly cakes, I made this Matcha-Choco Layer Cake. Four alternating layers of green tea and dark chocolate sponge, all coated in a similarly flavoured buttercream and shavings of (appropriately) green and black's chocolate. I was rather pleased with the end result (although it was slightly drier than I had meant it to be. This is what I get for just making it up as I go). It seemed to go down well overall.
