Fixing the TV

When did you last see a TV being fixed? Here in Cambodia almost nothing is un fixable. This chap is always busy and there are a couple of other TV mending shops in this village which are also always busy.Our landlord is always horrified if we try to throw awaybroken lamps or torches.I bought a small food blender on our last trip to Thailand which refused to work after about a week. Within a couple of hours of "throwing it away" it was back in our kitchen working well and has done ever since.We've even had a calculator fixed!It does seem crazy that at home it's cheaper to replace than repair.
