Book Fare Cafe

The Book Fare Cafe on the top floor of Village Books in Fairhaven has a new owner/chef, Charles Claassen. Today he was offering free samples of some of the menu items, so C and I stopped there on the way home from our regular haircut and Trader Joe's expedition.

Not only was the food delicious, but we were delighted to find Boundary Bay Brewery IPA on tap. We had an interesting conversation with Charles about food and beer, and are looking forward to our next visit, when we'll sit down for a proper meal.

The cafe is very bright and cheerful, with views of the waterfront. Charles has a large Ben Mann painting hanging on the wall, and displays works by other artists on a rotating basis. You can see photos here.
