~Saguaro At Sunset~

I was wandering around out in the back country this evening
and happened upon this majestic desert giant, a Saguaro cactus.
Now don't get me wrong, this plant is not the exception but the rule.
They are so numerous around here one almost doesn't notice them.
But this one was gigantic, standing about 30 or so feet high,
a solitary colossus alone on a hill awaiting the evening colors.
I positioned myself at the base of the hill for more than an hour,
waiting for just the right instant when my desert flora
will encounter and engage the wide blue yonder,
just the right moment, that's what it is all about!



The following is an "Opinionated Editorial":
Well last nights image or should I say last nights words
caused someones feathers to get a little ruffled.
As soon as my page went up the first comment was a slam.
Seems someone took offense to my expressive and poetic
words regarding the origin of such a beautiful sunset.
I was lectured about how the physical sciences created
the wonderful light and clouds and colors.
And they are right! But I believe that without God
there would be no physical sciences, or anything for that matter.
It appears that the people in question found it their duty
to educate me about how smart and enlightened they were.
In doing so they wanted to show me how benighted I was.
I do feel sorry for them as they felt it was alright to go off
on me, on my page and try to make me look stupid.
Well they sure wasted their time, I guess they don't know me very well,
because I don't need someones help to make me looking stupid,
I can manage that all on my own without any outside help.
A side note, it seems that my personal faith in God is still in tack.
But ironically their comment is no longer in existence.
And then guess what, they unsubscribe from my journal,
which they should have done in the first place.
I guess they showed me who's the boss. :o)

Sorry I had to vent, though I do feel better now!
