The Lindsay Stewart Lecture Theatre

We enjoyed tonight's RSPB Edinburgh Local Group lecture on the birds of the Esk Valleys and Roslin Glen, given by Neil Grubb in the incredible Lindsay Stewart Lecture Theatre.

Napier University's egg-shaped lecture theatre, in the Craiglockhart campus, was designed by BDP Architects - Building Design Partnership of Glasgow. The titanium-covered 'egg' can seat up to 200 students and its oval shape improves interaction and acoustics, because it allows students to be closer to the lecturer at the front of the hall.

The lecture theatre was part of a £30 million extension and refurbishment of the campus, completed in 2004.
