Parc Montsouris--Paris

Skies cleared over Paris for the first time in a few days, and we took a walk in the Parc Montsouris

It's a lovely medium-sized park on the southern edge of Paris, in the 14th arrondissement, about 25 minutes from our apartment (with a walk and a short bus or tram ride). Lots of flowers, especially daffodils and forsythia (as in the background here).

This is not especially striking as an image, but it gives a feeling for the park--and it includes the Eiffel Tower in the distant background. The ugly Tour Montparnasse is just out of the frame to the right--it would have been more conspicuous. Note that the lamp is a different style from the more graceful one I blipped a few days ago.
