Day 3.

Woke up to what I guess I would call a bit of a haar. Not sure if it was fog or smog though. The air seemed fairly clean for such a large city though.

Anyway, we had a day to ourselves so we jumped in a cab and went to the Bund. In this area down by the river, the skyline is dominated by very tall skyscrapers and the Pearl TV tower on the opposite bank.

Again, noticed that the everything is so clean. There's an army of people continually sweeping up, planting and generally looking after the things.

Did stick out like a sore thumb though. A small western woman with fair hair carrying a very large camera and accompanied by tall guy wearing shorts drew an undue amount of attention from the general public. Lots of pointing, giggling and staring!

Also noticed that the police were quick to bring a small protest under control.
